Fertilizer Packaging
Biederman provides contract packaging and fill solutions for fertilizers and other plant nutrition products. From sourcing packaging and material components to formulating and filling, our experienced team makes your company’s unique packaging decision-making process simple and hassle-free.

Pouch Packaging for Fertilizer
High barrier pouches work great for smaller portions of seeds and specialized fertilizers. This durable packaging format handles the rigours of distribution well and is available in a range of options including:
- Small amounts of specialized fertilizer for gardens and potted plants
- Larger, refillable or multi-use pouches
- Trial-size pouches for sampling.
Stock stand-up pouches come with consumer-friendly features including press-to-close (PTC) zippers and resealable tear notches. Two way degassing valves are also available.
There are many technical solutions for packaging fertilizers: pouches, bags, bottles, canisters, jars, and jugs amongst others.
Fertilizer Packaging Alternatives
Valve Bags
Block-bottom, satchel-style, valve bags allow for the quick and dust-free filling of powdery and granular materials like fertilizer. There is also no need to invest in fill machinery with Biederman. Biederman offers a wide variety of bulk filling services for powdered and granular products in packaging.
Powder Squeeze Bottles
Feature easy squeeze and precision tip. Simple and faster to use applicators' help apply products directly to the spot of interest. Easy-to-squeeze bottles feature precision tips with Yorker topics and measuring scales. Opaque packaging protects products sensitive to light and air.
Jars & Jugs
Safely contain fertilizer within jars and jugs. Jars have wider openings used for dry or semi-solid materials and outfitted with scoops, for precise measurements. Jars made from natural plastics are available for maximum visibility and to protect light - sensitive materials with wrap-around for brand messaging and merchandising appeal.
Jugs with wide bodies, small mouths and built-in handles are alternatively available to help facilitate pouring and best suited for larger quantities of product.
Fertilizer Packaging Considerations
- Protection - Sealed packaging prevents vapor, air, pests, odor and light from coming into contact with product
- Light - Lighter packaging options save on shipping costs
- Flexibility - Flexible packaging resists knocks and bumps without damage
- Customizability - Designed to suit any application with consideration for finish and style
- Practicality - Tear notices for example help customers open and reseal packaging
